The writing dream lives in many hearts. It took me years to realize it, but sitting in a room of 500 other women who were all hoping for a chance to be seen, heard, and noticed ... the message was loud and clear.
God may not plan to use me in the way I dreamed He would.
Are you an aspiring writer?
Do you have a dream in your heart to be great?
Do you feel like no one cares about your writing?
Like no one sees you?
Like you're one in a million?
Do you wonder why God doesn't give you the desire of your heart?
You're not alone...
Perhaps this writing journey and all of its failures and flops is the very means He has chosen to make you more like His Son.
"Brooke has her pulse on the heart of what it means to be a writer of faith. She'll encourage, challenge, and come alongside you in these pages. And in doing so, she'll change your words and your world for the better."
~ Holley Gerth, of DaySpring's Incourage (a division of Hallmark) and author of Rain on Me Devotions of Hope and Encouragement for Difficult Times
Notes to Aspiring Writers Your Dream God Plan edition by Brooke McGlothlin Reference eBooks
Reading Notes to Aspiring Writers was a refresher for me. Being a writer for almost 8 years and an author for almost three years, this book reminds me of my beginning years. Brooke talks about the sting of rejection and I can relate to so many other authors who have felt discouraged by letters of rejection. It’s difficult to remain focused and keep portraying your life, through writing, when you’re disregarded from all ends. Though the book is geared mostly to women, who are mothers, aspired to become writers, I appreciate Brooke’s heart and passion for God through her writing. In the first chapter of her book, she speaks about how the Holy Spirit compelled her to remove an article she posted on her blog. The Holy Spirit deals with all Christian writers and when we desperately feel we’re doing what’s right in God’s eyes, He says No. As He told Brooke no, He tells me no today.I’m in a season of writing where I’m trying to write everything that reflects God’s voice. As Brooke mentions prayer and a ready heart, it’s important that Christian writers pray about the things they write and ask God to condition their heart prior. Our hearts, as well as mind, needs to be set in the right motion in order for God to be glorified through our writings. Over and over again, “grace” is mentioned in this book. I pray Brooke, myself, and others learn to write in the grace of God so that others are not condemned and offended. Instead, they’re restored, revived, and ready to fulfill God’s mission for their life.
Regarding the layout and composition of the book, I admired its design and ease of readability from chapter to chapter. Brooke’s heart is poured out in every chapter and I believe every reader who has read this book or come into contact with it, received something that changed their life towards writing. Our plans are not God’s plans and I praise God for Brooke creating this masterpiece; as she brings glory to God and hope and encouragement to women all over the world waiting to dive into writing. As you stated, a Christian’s life is about giving and letting go. I pray God continues to bless you Brooke and I pray that all readers who read this learn how to sacrifice their will unto God’s purpose and let go of the things that aren’t pleasing in His sight.
Keep up the good work Brooke! I recommend this book to mothers, women inspiring to become writers and/or authors, and anyone who is interested in learning the struggle and decisions writers have to make when they write and publish things.

Notes to Aspiring Writers Your Dream God Plan edition by Brooke McGlothlin Reference eBooks Reviews
This is the first time I've written a review that I wasn't required to write because I was reviewing for a publisher. And I knew that deep down in my heart, I really did need to take a few minutes of my time to HIGHLY recommend this ebook to any women our there who have a desire to write just don't quite feel that it's just quite time to pursue it in the traditional manner.
Brooke - I love you! I mean, I could have penned this myself. These are the exact feelings that I've been dealing with for the last six months. And to hear another women voice the same exact feelings was so incredibly encouraging! Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time, humbling yourself, and sharing your thoughts on this subject. I savored each word, each thought, because they were so much like my own thoughts!
Loved this ebook! Highly, highly, highly recommended!
If you are reading this book, you are probably an aspiring writer, and a Christian. This book makes you dig in a little deeper to explore the reasons you want to write, and publish a book. The author has bared her heart to God in searching her heart, desires, and God's will . This book is thought provoking and not your typical diy how to write to get published book. I will be rereading this one as I gather my own thoughts and reasons.
Brooke McGlothlin dreamed of writing a book her entire life. This ebook is a collection of five life lessons she learned as she pursued her dream of being a published author.
The author told of her early blogging experiences of writing and working hard to get an audience to read and comment on her posts. She learned that it is wiser to write for an audience of one...God. She has dedicated every aspect of her writing to Him and seeks guidance in Bible study and prayer.
The bottom line is that God has lifted up some and not others. More important than asking "why" when faced with disappointment is to humbly seek God's glory. Our life plans are less about us, and more about how He receives the greatest glory.
Ms. McGlothlin opened her heart and wrote about the lessons she learned during her writing journey. These lessons have drawn her nearer to God and strengthened her Christian faith.
This ebook challenged me to seek God's will and to write for an audience of ONE. There is no formula for success that will work for all writers. This book will encourage you to follow your heart and discover your true life's purpose.
Every Chapter that I read in this book, I believe that it will direct you further and further down the right path of discovering your own life's assignment and the true meaning of success from God and not our own definition of success. While reading this book, even though I already published three books but I am having a new understanding that life is filled with hopes, dreams, the giving and letting go of things that aren't good for us. In this book, Brooke wants you to know not to sacrifice your family or your salvation with God over your dreams. Brooke share her personal testimony by overcoming her struggles and jealousy of others. We all can learn from Brooke that we can experience God's miracles in which all of these things that make up the sanctification process. We need to realize that God is more concern in our heart, soul and the eagerness to shift our temporal dreams for God's eternal dreams.
