This cookbook has a good collection of bread and stuffing recipes. There is a Table of Contents that you can easily pick the recipe you want. I am always looking for new banana bread recipes, and this book has 10 different recipes for it. I tried the "Janine's Best Banana Bread" and not only was it delicious, but it took only 15 minutes to mix the batter before getting it into the oven! Most of the recipes are yeast breads such as the Sunflower Rye Bread, Mediterranean Black Olive Bread, and Honey Granola Bread. A couple recipes used store-bought dough such as Quick and Easy Monkey Bread and Pull-Apart Bacon Bread (great for unexpected company). I also made Herb Cheese Bread. It was so easy to make, and the whole family gobbled it up. There was also recipes for oyster corn bread dressing and Great Grandma's Bread Stuffing. I'm looking forward to trying the Persimmon Bread recipe when persimmons are in season in my area. I don't know who Aunt Vernistine is, but she has a wonderful selection of bread recipes.Product details

Haven't tried it yet. Will get to it as soon as I can. Very busy now. Can't give a star yet, but I will do so when I have tried the book.
Aunt Vernistine's Favorite Bread Recipes cookbook contains a vast collection of bread recipes and some of those recipes are unique or special. I wasn't expecting to find a recipe for Mom's Delicious Oyster Bread Dressing but there the recipe was at the top of the table of contents. I was expecting to find yeast and quick bread recipes but not a recipe for stuffing.

I must like the recipes, because I just spent the last hour calculating the gram measurements for ingredients in the recipes I want to try.
First on the list English Muffin Bread.
I bought the version. Just highlight the ingredient and add a note of how many grams it should be...
If the recipes had come from my great grandmother, they would have had a pinch of this and a dash of that, so I am grateful that the measurements were at least in teaspoons, tablespoons and cups.
Hint most of the recipes call for two .25 ounce packages of yeast. That is approximately 3.5 teaspoons.
1 cup of four is 120 grams.
Since I weigh everything when baking, that would be my only complaint. Otherwise, there are lots of recipes I cannot wait to try, including the ginger pear spread for the freshly baked English muffin bread.
